Gerald PMP Testimonial
How I Passed my PMP Exam,
After the 35 contact hours training at Ciel Consulting, I immediately went to work by switching to study mode. Firstly, I drafted out a study plan and dived right into it. Strangely, I didn’t study from page one to the end but in a systematic fashion.
During the training, I discovered a link between the knowledge areas that boosted my understanding of the subject and aided my preparation. My choice of books were Rita Mulchay PMP Exam Prep (Read it twice completely), PMBOK sixth edition (Read halfway but occasionally visited it for better clarity on certain topics) and finally Headfirst (This would help you get addicted to project management real quickly).
The next phase of achieving the PMP certification was to practice exam questions. Also note that I didn’t practice questions after each topic until I was ready to take the exam – A deliberate action I took to help measure the quality of understanding. I averaged 400 questions per day, that is; I practiced two exam questions in a day. I never repeated an exam question instead I learnt from my errors and moved on.
Youtube and Playstore were also helpful. Countless PMP videos and mobile apps that contained closely related questions that would drill you well enough for the examination. There are very good ones that are free and analyzes your progress as you go along.
The result, an overall above target rating with above target on four parameters and below target on one parameter.
The journey seemed tough from the start but only got easier as I progressed.
Consistency pays in the long run.
Thank you Team Ciel!
